What is intuition? It’s when you get a feeling that something is about to happen. Or, you feel that something is happening elsewhere even though you yourself aren’t present there. There is no logic (Mercury), knowledge (Jupiter) or anything else involved. Just feeling. And which planet in Astrology denotes feelings? It’s the Moon. Intuition cannot take place without Moon.
What’s Ketu? It’s a headless planet which cannot think. (Therefore devoid of logic or reasoning). It also denotes spirituality. Whenever Moon in under the influence of Ketu, the person is intuitive.
Then come the houses.
8th house – It’s the house of darkness, occult, the hidden things.
12th house – It’s the house of spirituality; the house which connects with the third realm.
When Moon is placed in the 8th or 12th house, it too is an indication of intuitive personality as it allows the mind to tap into hidden and unknown dimensions.
