The Colour of Your Car

Like Horoscope Matching Vs Guna Milan, this post too is inspired by my conversation with a friend. (Not the same guy 🙂 ). He was planning to buy a car.

Friend: Remember I told you how much I liked the (car) V********n P**o? I’m finally going to buy it.
Me: Oh, yes I do remember. Congratulations! Which colour?
Friend: It’s red.
Me: Great choice of colour; looks amazing on it. By the way, is the colour in accordance with your horoscope?
Friend: (Looks at me in astonishment) Car’s colour is related to horoscope – Are you kidding me???
Me: (In an unwavering tone) No.

I believe that just like my friend, most of us would have been astonished. When buying a car, more often than not, we go for the colour based only on our like/dislike. Never would have we thought that it could have a connection with our birth chart. Surprisingly, it is connected and does have a significant impact. Every colour carries the energy of a certain planet. Our horoscope ascertains which colours are good for us and which ones aren’t. The post Green on Wednesday explains this concept pretty well.

Astrological explanation of the impact of car’s colour

When we ride a car (or any vehicle), we increase on us the influence of the planet which the car’s colour belongs to. The influence may be beneficial or may be malefic. Let’s take the example of red. The colour is associated with Mars which is a fiery planet. It is the planet of accidents, bloodshed and violence. If a person has ill-placed Mars in his horoscope, buying a red-coloured car would mean inviting the above mentioned negative energies. Hence, it would not be a wise decision. So is a red car bad idea for everyone ? Of course not. In fact, if Mars is a benefic in your chart and is well-placed, the colour actually works towards saving you from accidents. Similarly, look for the position of Moon if you’re buying a white car, Saturn for blue/black and so on.

Ever thought why some people’s cars break down frequently even when new while there are many whose old cars seldom do? Or why some good, careful drivers often get into accidents whereas there are average drivers with barely any? The difference in their choice of colour makes the difference.

Some may say that when it comes to accidents, dasha (time period) also is an important factor. So is the presence/absence of the accident causing yogas in an individual’s chart. I completely agree. However, it’s not in our hands to change either the dasha or the yoga. What we do have a choice with, is the colour. It can reduce or increase the malefic effect of the problematic dasha/yoga.  So, decide on it wisely.
